Braga: Association thanks the Municipality for removing sanitary containers in front of the Sé Cathedral

Braga TV2 September 2026 at 23:42

The Association Poder Viver na Sé (APVS) thanked the Municipality of Braga for removing the sanitary containers that had been installed on Rua D. Paio Mendes, in front of Braga's Sé Cathedral. The association confirmed that the equipment was removed from that location after receiving photographs and testimonies from members and followers.

The APVS expressed its gratitude through a statement that was made public, acknowledging the municipality's action in response to concerns raised by the local community.

The removal of the containers resolves a situation that had generated mobilization by members of the association, who documented and reported the presence of the equipment in this historic area of the city.

This case refers to a dispute over the use of public space next to one of the most important monuments in Braga, with the association acting as an intermediary between residents and local authorities.
