José Luís Arnaut commented on the motion of censure presented by the Chega party, describing it as "another circus act". The comment comes in the context of a political initiative by the far-right party against a member of the executive.
Arnaut highlighted that the motion of censure will not have the intended effect by Chega, stating that "it is not Chega that will fire the minister". This position reflects the assessment that the party does not have sufficient political strength to oust government members through this parliamentary instrument.
The former government official also defended that members of the executive continue to enjoy the prime minister's confidence. This statement reinforces the government's position against the opposition and suggests that the motion of censure does not represent a real threat to the executive's stability.
