The Foo Fighters performed on Friday the 4th, opening the first night of Rock in Rio on the Mundo Stage. Although the musicians had not yet arrived in Brazil, all the necessary structure for the show was already set up at the Cidade do Rock. The band's production sent a total of 27 tons of equipment to the festival, including guitars, drums, lighting, mixing consoles, and other gear that Dave Grohl and his companions would use for the show.
The equipment transport operation involved two cargo planes. The first one landed at Viracopos airport in Campinas on August 21st, bringing seven air pallets with 12.7 tons of material. The second cargo plane arrived a week later, on August 28th, carrying eight pallets with an additional 14.3 tons of equipment.
Combined, the two flights brought a considerable volume of equipment from the Foo Fighters' production to Brazil to ensure the quality of the show. The structure included all the necessary items for the American band's performance, which closed the first night of the event with their rock repertoire.
