MC Doca spoke out after Ana Castela became the target of criticism for releasing a song that reuses the melody and structure of the famous "Rap da felicidade", by Cidinho & Doca. The controversy arose from the change in meaning of the lyrics: while the original version addresses life in the favelas and claims dignity for the poorest population, the new song brings references to luxury cars and parties.
Despite the negative repercussions on social media, the funk singer preferred not to attack the singer. In an interview with the Metrópoles portal, MC Doca declared: "I only ask that God bless her. She is a super talented woman."
The singer stated that he received many messages from people complaining about Ana Castela's version, but decided not to respond to any of them. "A lot of people sent me messages complaining, saying all kinds of things about her version, but I didn't even respond. I will never throw stones at someone," he added.
