The National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP) made an appeal to the Government to accelerate the financing of municipal investments that are in arrears. The entity considers it urgent to resolve this issue to ensure that municipal projects are not compromised.
Pedro Pimpão, a prominent figure of ANMP, highlighted that this is the appropriate moment to determine which projects and investments were left incomplete by August 31st. This date appears to be a relevant deadline for the completion of the investments in question.
The appeal comes in a context where many municipalities face financial and operational difficulties to continue their projects. ANMP intends to pressure the executive to release the necessary funds so that works and investments can proceed within the established deadlines.
