The State Government formalized on Wednesday (2) the cession of an area of 25 thousand square meters from Caio Martins Stadium to the Municipality of Niterói, in Rio de Janeiro. The agreement represents a transfer of responsibility over the public space between levels of government.
The ceded area will be used for the construction of an underground reservoir with capacity for 80 million liters of water. The project aims to expand the water supply infrastructure in the municipality of Niterói.
In addition to the reservoir, the agreement provides for the transformation of the space into a public park destined for sports, leisure, and community gathering for the population. The idea is to create an urban facility that benefits residents of the region.
The cession was formalized between the State Government and the Municipality of Niterói, consolidating the partnership for the implementation of the project. Full access to the article was restricted to subscribers.
