The president of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, convened a leaders' conference for this Thursday with the objective of defining the date of the motion of censure presented by the Chega party to the government.
Aguiar-Branco refused to comment on the content or merit of the motion of censure, considering that it is a figure provided for both in the rules of procedure and in the Constitution, classifying it as a "normal use" of these norms.
It now falls to the party leaders, meeting in conference, to decide when the parliament will debate and vote on the motion of censure presented by Chega.
