The dispute for the government of Alagoas gained a new round of provocations on social media between senator Renan Filho (MDB) and mayor JHC (PSDB). The MDB member maintains a "silenciômetro" to demand that the tucano adversary take a stance on investigations involving applications of the Maceió Pension Institute (IPREV) at Banco Master. "Until when will JHC stay in this giant silence?", provoked Renan Filho in a post on social media.
In response, JHC published a video in which he calls the health secretary of Alagoas "gordinho topado," who is investigated for suspicions of millionaire embezzlement of SUS resources. The video exploits images of the secretary next to Renan Filho, senator Renan Calheiros (MDB), and governor Paulo Dantas (MDB).
The exchange of barbs occurs in a context of political tension in the state, where the MDB currently holds power with Paulo Dantas' government. The silenciômetro, according to the article, already marks 23 days since JHC has not commented on the theme of investigations involving IPREV and Banco Master.
