Freddie Mercury's ex-fiancée says the Queen frontman tested her with threesome proposals

Mary Austin, who was Freddie Mercury's fiancée and lived with him for six years, revealed in a book she wrote about her relationship with the Queen leader that the singer was testing her with three-way sex proposals. To the newspaper "The Guardian," the 75-year-old British woman stated that she thought Freddie Mercury was probing her to verify if she was bisexual.

Mary Austin recalled a specific episode during their dating when they met one of Freddie's ex-girlfriends, whom he described as bisexual, and for whom he suggested a ménage à trois. "Looking back, I can say that he was perhaps probing the terrain. But I didn't want a ménage à trois. I'm heterosexual. I don't get to that point, you know?" she declared.

The fact that Freddie Mercury was openly gay has always intrigued the band's fans. The singer, born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar, Tanzania, left his house and all his personal collection to Mary Austin when he died in 1991.
