At Zoomarine, in the Algarve, the first black ibis chick of the park was born. The bird was named by the park's team with the name "Vozinha", in homage to the goalkeeper of the Cape Verde national team.
The chick was born in the Americas Habitat, one of the park's areas dedicated to American fauna. According to the information provided, the bird is in good health.
The chosen name refers to the Cape Verdean goalkeeper, who is known by this nickname. This was the first time that Zoomarine managed to breed this species of black ibis in captivity.
