The National Police detained in Valencia a couple from Castellón for suspicion of homicide of one of their children, an 18-month-old baby. The child's corpse is being searched for by the Mossos d'Esquadra in the Santa Bárbara area, in Tarragona.

The case became public after the paternal grandfather filed a complaint with the authorities. The elderly man went to the police station to report that his daughter-in-law had contacted him by phone and revealed that the baby had died and that the body had been buried at home, inside a cardboard box.

The authorities are conducting searches to locate the child's body in the Santa Bárbara region, while investigative procedures are underway by the National Police.
