Maria João Ramos, professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), won the EuChemS DCTC Lifetime Achievement Award, a career prize awarded by the European Chemical Society. This recognition celebrates her pioneering work and her excellent career in the field of computational chemistry.

In 2024, Maria João Ramos had already been distinguished by being named Chemistry Europe Fellow, which demonstrates the consistency and relevance of her contribution to the international scientific community.

The prize was awarded by EuChemS (European Chemical Society), reinforcing the prestige of the research developed in Portugal in this area of chemistry.
