Avante party's presidential candidate Augusto Cury published a video on social media in which he provokes Lula, Flávio Bolsonaro and Pablo Marçal, presenting himself as an alternative to political polarization. The advertising piece was released after Cury reached 10% of voting intentions in the Quaest poll, taking sole third place in the presidential race.
The poll was commissioned by TV Globo and the newspaper O GLOBO. In the video, a couple of actors observe a panel with photos of the three candidates connected by wires, in a scene that reproduces a board of suspect investigation.
A man questions whether, for the first time, Brazil "doesn't want more of the same" and asks whether right and left-wing voters could vote for the same person. Augusto Cury's photo is positioned in the center of the panel.
In a potential second round against Lula, the Quaest poll indicates Cury with 34%, against 40% of the PT candidate. The institute did not simulate a second round with Flavio Bolsonaro.
