The office of Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), confirmed that Daniel Vorcaro, former owner of Banco Master, provided testimony on an urgent basis last week. The hearing was conducted by an auxiliary judge accompanying the case in the minister's office.
The testimony was carried out at the express request of Vorcaro's defense, who reported being subjected to serious intimidation and requested to be heard urgently. The information was initially revealed by the newspaper O Globo, and later confirmed by the minister himself through an official statement.
According to the office, it was a regular procedural act, conducted in accordance with the norms of the Code of Criminal Procedure. A representative of the Public Ministry was present at the hearing, however the Federal Police did not participate in the testimony.
