Presidential candidate Ronaldo Caiado of the PSD visited the Municipal Market of Pinheiros in São Paulo's West Zone on the morning of Wednesday (2). The agenda lasted about an hour and took place on the same day the new Quaest survey on voting intentions for the presidential race was released.
The poll showed Caiado with only 1% of voting intentions, representing a significant drop compared to the previous survey from August 14, when he appeared with 4%. The result raised questions to the candidate during his public agenda.
When asked about his low performance in the polls, Caiado said he respects the results and that voters are still evaluating the trajectory of candidates. He highlighted that his second television slot would be aired and argued that he has the capacity to demonstrate what can be done for the country, differentiating his proposal from what he called "guesswork," meaning speeches without concrete foundation.
Caiado declared that he respects the outcome of the ballot boxes but said he is certain that Brazilians will not choose without considering concrete government proposals.
