The e-Leilões platform surpassed eight billion euros in sales in its first ten years of activity, according to the announcement by the Order of Solicitors and Enforcement Agents. Developed and managed by OSAE by order of the Ministry of Justice, the platform generated more than 8,000 million euros by July 2026, with the real estate segment leading in value and number of bids.
In the first quarter of this year, sales exceeded 121.5 million euros, with over 2,500 auctions held and approximately 46,900 bids. Real estate concentrated most of this volume, with more than 118.6 million euros. Over the decade, the platform registered more than 105,000 auctions and 1.41 million bids, maintaining real estate in the dominant position with more than 7,800 million euros in sales.
Initially created for the sale of seized assets in enforcement proceedings, e-Leilões is currently also used by judicial officers, insolvency practitioners in insolvency proceedings, and by the Asset Administration Office for the disposal of assets seized in criminal proceedings. The analysis of the platform's evolution identifies two phases: between 2016 and 2019, a period of strong expansion, and from 2020 onwards, a phase of consolidation and development.
Mara Fernandes, president of the Professional Council of the College of Enforcement Agents, classified the platform's first decade as a demonstration that it is "an instrument of trust, with a strong impact on judicial sales, the functioning of Justice, and the socioeconomic development of the country." Launched in 2016 and renewed in 2024, the e-Leilões.pt platform remains accessible to anyone interested.
