The Public Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal investigation into the derailment of the Glória elevator in Lisbon, which occurred on September 3 of last year and resulted in 16 deaths. The Attorney General's Office revealed on Wednesday that the case has not yet been closed.
The investigation awaits the conclusion of tests and expert analyses before it can be concluded. These technical analyses are necessary so that investigators can substantiate their conclusions about the causes of the accident.
The investigation should be concluded in the first quarter of 2027, according to the Attorney General's Office.
