The history teacher Giulia Silva de Araújo, 26, died after being seen twice on the same day at Hospital Municipal Francisco Silva Telles, in Irajá, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to a friend's account on social media, the young woman began feeling ill while in the classroom and presented symptoms consistent with a cardiac condition. The case happened last Friday.
On her first visit to the municipal hospital, Giulia was diagnosed with anxiety and released. Hours later, the teacher was admitted to a health facility in Duque de Caxias with cardiorespiratory arrest and did not survive.
According to the article, the family seeks answers about the care provided to the young woman. The municipal hospital has not yet commented on the case. The incident raises questions about the medical conduct that led to the patient's discharge twice on the same day.
