The real estate market in São Paulo is undergoing a transformation that has boosted demand for external storage solutions. A survey conducted by the company GoodStorage reveals that the occupancy rate of its self storage units reaches up to 95% in different regions of the capital of São Paulo. The indicator reflects the change in residents' routines, who have started living in smaller homes and need a complementary space to store furniture and personal belongings.
According to data from the Real Estate Market Survey (PMI), released by Secovi-SP, compact apartments and studio-format units represent more than half of the launches in the city of São Paulo. Only in the month of April, 6,025 units of this category were launched, corresponding to 52% of the total new properties presented in the São Paulo market.
The data shows that the profile of properties in São Paulo is transforming, with compact apartments consolidating as the dominant trend. This change in the real estate market has generated a growing demand for storage spaces, as residents of smaller properties seek alternatives to accommodate their belongings.
