The new Quaest survey, commissioned by Globo and Editora Globo, was released on Wednesday and reveals that 66% of Brazilian voters are concerned about the economy. Of this total, 33% said income did not increase and another 33% said earnings did not keep up with the cost of living. Only 10% of respondents stated that income rose more than spending.

The survey also showed that the perception of rising food prices is predominant among Brazilians. According to the survey, 67% of respondents said products became more expensive at markets, supermarkets, and street fairs in the last month. Another 22% did not notice a difference in prices and 9% said prices decreased.

Regarding the assessment of the Brazilian economy in the last year, the survey revealed that only 19% of voters believe it improved, while 29% saw no difference. The study also indicated that 3% of respondents did not know or did not want to answer about income evolution.
