13 ME project at school in Ferreira do Zêzere extends until December

Correio do Ribatejo2 September 2026 at 14:30

The requalification of the Pedro Ferreiro School, in Ferreira do Zêzere, represents an investment of approximately 13 million euros and constitutes the largest project in decades in the municipality. The project, which encompasses large-scale interventions at the school, was described by the president of the municipality as a project of very high quality.

However, the work was not completed within the deadline established by the PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan). The president of the Municipality of Ferreira do Zêzere stated that the completion of the works is expected to occur by December.

Despite the failure to meet the initial deadline, the municipality does not anticipate the loss of funding associated with the project. The mayor expressed no concern regarding the fact that the work was not finished within the period provided for by the PRR.
