Sustainability reports from schools gain relevance

oglobo2 September 2026 at 14:23

The integration of sustainability into organizations' strategies has advanced in Brazil and worldwide. A global study by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), in partnership with AICPA & CIMA, reveals that 98% of large companies analyzed already disclose some type of sustainability information, and 44% incorporate this data into annual reports, a number that was only 18% five years ago.

The Rede Lius Agostinianos, responsible for the Santo Agostinho College units in Minas Gerais and free educational units in different Brazilian states, decided to voluntarily publish the third edition of its Sustainability Report, referring to 2025, even without being subject to mandatory publication requirements.

The initiative is part of the institution's commitment to accountability and caring for the Common Home. Among the report's highlights are R$ 27.3 million invested in free education in Basic Education, 2,104 social scholarships granted, and over 467,000 complete meals offered to students of the units.
