The City Council approved in first vote a loan of R$ 700 million for the City Hall. The funds will allow the restructuring of the municipality's debts, in addition to continuing urban infrastructure projects.
With part of the funds, the City Hall will be able to complete the UFPI Bridge works, which had been behind schedule. It will also be possible to initiate the construction of the Pesqueirinho Bridge, a project that was awaiting financing.
Beyond road works, the loan includes the construction of the second unit of the City Mall. The project aims to expand the commercial facility to another region of the municipality.
The loan still needs to pass a second vote at the City Council to be definitively approved and the funds released to the City Hall.
