Santa Casa da Misericórdia inaugurated a crèche with improved conditions and capacity to receive up to 76 children. The educational response is preparing to start the school year with 44 children, distributed across the nursery, walking acquisition room, and room for 24 to 36 months.
The team is composed of eight collaborators, including two early childhood educators, educational action assistants, and general services staff. Patrícia Soares, technical director, states that the intervention "was already necessary, not only for parents and children, but also for the entire educational team", noting that there is now "more comfort, more safety, and a better reception".
The territory where this crèche is located is marked by demographic challenges of the interior. Patrícia Soares considers the recorded evolution positive, after "years in which there was a noticeable lack of children". The responsible party highlights that birth rates "increased gradually, but increased, and that is very good".
