The Public Security Police collected 265 weapons and six thousand rounds of ammunition over two months. This operation to recover military material is part of a broader set of initiatives carried out by the PSP.
During this period, 140 community policing actions were carried out. These operations had as their main objective to bring the PSP's arms and explosives services closer to citizens.
The campaign aimed to encourage the voluntary surrender of weapons and ammunition by the population, offering in return the regularization of their situation before the law. This community-oriented approach aims to reduce the number of weapons in circulation on the streets and increase public safety.
