The Gardens of Vila Velha, in Vila Real, host on September 12th the 15th edition of the Living Statues Festival, an event dedicated to street art and performative expression. The program begins at 3:30 PM and includes a living statues competition, entertainment moments and various performances that explore immobility, body expression and creativity.
The guest artist of this edition is António Santos, who holds a Guinness World Records record. The festival transforms the gardens into a meeting space between artists and audience, creating a direct connection between the performances and the spectators present.
The initiative is aimed at audiences of all ages and is part of Vila Real's cultural programming, seeking to bring different forms of art to public spaces. The event is organized by the municipality and has journalistic coverage by Vitória Botelho.
