The president of the Supreme Federal Court, Justice Edson Fachin, spoke for the first time about the case involving conversations between STF ministers and banker Daniel Vorcaro, former owner of Banco Master. The statement was made during the Italo-Hispanic-Brazilian Journey of Constitutional Law, held at the STF itself.
Fachin stated that the high authority of the position does not confer privileges, but imposes duties, limits, and responsibilities, which must be observed with absolute respect for the Constitution, the laws, and the Supreme Federal Court.
The minister reported that, in the coming days, upon completion of the necessary analysis of the facts and observance of the pertinent institutional procedures, he will announce, in due time and without haste, the appropriate and necessary measures regarding the case.
There was great anticipation for the Supreme Court session on Wednesday (2), at 2 PM, which was maintained on the Court's agenda and would be the first time the justices would meet after the latest controversies involving the conversations with Vorcaro.
