Supreme Court Minister André Mendonça admitted on Wednesday (2) that he received banker Daniel Vorcaro at a meeting in São Paulo. The information was initially published by the ICL Notícias website and confirmed by the minister himself through an official statement.
According to Mendonça, the encounter occurred once, in March 2025, at the initiative of the businessman himself. On that occasion, he states that he limited himself to listening to Vorcaro and, in the same month, also met with the businessman's lawyer. The minister states that he keeps the written memorials received during the encounter on file in his office.
The subject discussed on all occasions was the Suspension of Provisional Injunction (STP) 976, which was under judgment by the Supreme Court. The case concerned payment order credits of interest to the Bank, but, on the date of the meeting, was pending with a request for a view by another minister.
As previously reported by the press, the businessman sought similar contact with other members of the court.
