Gracindo Jr. died on Wednesday morning, the 2nd, at age 83, at his home, in Rio de Janeiro. The actor and director had been away from television for more than seven years.
The artist's last public appearance was recorded in early June, when he was photographed by Retratos da Vida taking a walk in a wheelchair, accompanied by a caregiver, on Praia da Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of Rio.
In July of last year, Gracindo Jr. had reappeared in a post by actress Maitê Proença on social media. Maitê visited the actor at his home, in Barra da Tijuca, and shared the encounter with photos. The two had played romantic partners in the soap opera Dona Beija, aired in 1986.
When posting the photos featuring the 82-year-old actor, Maitê praised and updated her colleague's health status, stating that the visit was enchanting and that Gracindo was happy, with eyes full of life.
