Ryanair plans to reduce flights in winter to limit fuel costs

Correio da Manhã2 September 2026 at 12:32

Ryanair announced plans to reduce flight operations during the winter season as a measure to limit fuel costs. The Irish airline considers it "sensible" to reduce fuel requirements during this period of the year.

The company justifies the decision with the fact that fuel prices are not guaranteed during the winter season, which is described as "unprofitable" for the aviation sector.

This reduction in flights emerges as a strategy to face the economic challenges associated with operations during the winter months, when demand for air travel tends to be lower.
