Almost one in every five taxpayers in Portugal are foreign workers, according to data revealed by Randstad Research. The average salary also continues to rise and already exceeds two thousand euros.
The analysis by Randstad Research was based on data from three official entities: Social Security, the National Statistics Institute (INE) and the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP).
The growth in the presence of foreign workers in the Portuguese workforce has been increasing significantly, already representing a considerable share of the total taxpayers in the country.
The report also indicates that the average salary of workers in Portugal maintains an upward trajectory, surpassing the two thousand euros per month barrier.
