The Queer Lisboa festival opened its edition with the screening of the film "The man I love", directed by Ira Sachs. The festival runs between September 18 and 26, presenting a program that celebrates queer cinema.
The festival organization describes the selected films as "a symptom of absolute maturity of queer cinema", highlighting the consolidation of this cinematographic strand in the audiovisual landscape.
Among the Portuguese works featured in the program, there is "Não Resta Nada", directed by André Godinho, representing national production at the event.
Queer Lisboa is a festival dedicated to cinema with queer themes, which annually brings together national and international productions that explore issues of identity, sexual orientation and diversity.
