The Malveira Volunteer Firefighters are promoting a new edition of the Festas do Barrete Preto, a traditional event that runs from September 3 to 7. The festival features various activities, including a restaurant, handicrafts, kermesse (fair), garraiadas and entertainment for participants.
The event program is diverse and includes activities for every day. On September 3, at 7:00 PM, the restaurant opens, followed by the reception of São Marçal at 8:30 PM and a dance with Renato Pereira at 9:30 PM. On the following days, there are concerts with Banda Turno da Noite, Papaleguas and Banda CTL, as well as classic car rides, folk afternoons, live music and mass in honor of São Marçal.
The garraiadas take place in the early morning of September 4 and 5, at 1:00 AM, and the event ends on the 7th with mass in honor of São Marçal at 9:00 PM, followed by a procession and farewell to the saint at 10:00 PM. The organization states that it assumes no responsibility for any incident during the event.
