A Texas couple is among the foreigners missing after a glacier collapse caused devastating floods on the Nepal-China border. Archana Suresh, 46, and Raghu Rajan, 50, residents of Murphy, Texas, were traveling to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on a religious pilgrimage to Mount Kailash when they were caught in the tragedy on the morning of August 26.
The two were near the Friendship Bridge, which connects Nepal to China, when the floods hit the area around 8:30 AM. The structure was completely destroyed by the natural disaster. Since then, the family has not received information about the couple's whereabouts.
According to Divya Chandrashekar, Rajan's sister-in-law, the couple was extremely excited about the trip and couldn't stop talking about it. The family awaits news as the search for the missing continues in the affected region.
