The Federal Police (PF) produced a report indicating that Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, turned to Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes during the financial institution's crisis to try to escape investigations. The messages were extracted from the banker's phone and analyzed by authorities.
Over 13 days, Vorcaro asked the magistrate to intervene to prevent the bank's liquidation and the advancement of investigations. In the conversations, the banker made appeals to "sensitize" authorities and asked about how he should proceed to "disarm" and "reverse" the situation.
According to the investigations, Vorcaro wrote the texts in a notes app before sending them, which suggests an attempt to previously organize the messages. The PF report indicates that the banker sought to use his relationship with Moraes to bypass the scrutiny of other authorities.
