Foreign workers in Portugal generated a positive balance of 363 million euros for the State, according to data revealed by the human resources company Randstad. This value represents the net contribution that these professionals bring to Portuguese public finances.
According to the study, workers of foreign nationality already represent 18.6% of the total taxpayers in Portugal. This number corresponds to 906,019 professionals who were contributing to Social Security in June, which highlights the growing importance of this workforce in the Portuguese economy.
