The Municipal Group of Compromís demanded a response based on cooperation, human rights and solidarity in the face of the humanitarian crisis that Ceuta is experiencing. The party criticized the partisan instrumentalization that the PP and Vox are making of the situation.
Compromís spokesperson Ignasi Garcia defended that Ceuta cannot become a political trench. According to Garcia, what is needed now is that all administrations collaborate, that violence be condemned without nuances and that a dignified response be guaranteed to those affected.
The party focused especially on children, boys and adolescents who are alone, asking that they be protected and welcomed adequately.
Compromís also proposed that Castelló host migrant minors as a way to demonstrate real solidarity with Ceuta and contribute to resolving the humanitarian crisis in a concrete and humane way.
