Carris Metropolitana will create a new route between Moita and Barreiro, strengthening public transport connections in the Setúbal peninsula area. This new service is part of a set of changes that the transport operator will implement in the coming months.
At the same time, line 4701 will have its schedules extended, allowing greater flexibility for passengers using this service. The goal is to improve mobility between the municipalities of Moita, Barreiro and Lisbon.
The changes programmed by Carris Metropolitana take effect in September and October, covering different implementation phases. This restructuring is part of an effort to optimize the transport network in the region.
The changes aim to meet the growing demand for connections between the various municipalities in the Tagus riverside area, facilitating commuting for residents of the region.
