The Sub No Seu Lugar project, an initiative of the North Zone II Subprefecture, has surpassed the mark of three kilometers of roads served since its creation in October 2025. The project's name is inspired by the song "Meu lugar" by Arlindo Cruz. The task force brings together teams from Comlurb, the Conservation Department, Rioluz, and CET-Rio in simultaneous services such as cleaning, tree pruning, pothole patching, lighting maintenance, signage, and wiring organization.
Since its creation, the project has already passed through nine neighborhoods, having arrived last week at Lins de Vasconcelos. Engenho de Dentro is among the next stops for the initiative. The goal is to surpass six kilometers of interventions by 2026.
According to Deputy Subprefect Douglas Araújo, the selection of streets to be served considers demands identified in the field, requests from residents, and records received through the subprefecture's channels.
