Vitória SC keeps Oumar Camara and Beni Mukendi in the squad, at least for now, after the two players were involved in negotiations to move abroad. In the case of Oumar Camara, the French winger was targeted by Italian clubs Lecce and Torino. However, the deal did not progress before the closure of the Italian market, which shut on Tuesday, September 1. Camara remains at the disposal of Tiago Margarido. Trained at Paris Saint-Germain, the 19-year-old player is in his second season with the conquerors and has 40 appearances and six goals for Vitória SC.
Beni Mukendi was close to making one of the main transfers for Vitória in this window. The Angolan midfielder was being negotiated with Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, in a deal that could represent an inflow of between 9 and 10 million euros for the Guimarães club. The talks reached an advanced stage, but the process became complicated after Al Ittihad pushed forward with negotiations with Benfica for the loan of Richard Ríos. The arrival of the Colombian midfielder altered the Saudi club's priorities and put Mukendi's transfer at risk.
As a result, both players continue, for now, at Vitória SC. The Portuguese market remains open until Friday, September 4, so the Vitória squad may still undergo changes in the coming days. In Mukendi's case, there is also the particularity that the Saudi market remains open after the transfer window closes in Portugal.
