Felipe Neto sues councilwoman and PL candidate who accuses him of 'switching sides' for money

Felipe Neto filed a lawsuit in the courts of Rio de Janeiro against Manu Vieira, a councilwoman from Florianópolis and candidate for federal deputy for PL in Santa Catarina. The lawsuit was filed after Manu Vieira published a video on her Instagram profile containing accusations against the digital influencer.

In the video, the councilwoman hinted that Felipe Neto would have received money to change his political convictions. In addition, Manu Vieira called him a hypocrite, according to the lawsuit. The statements were considered defamatory by the influencer, who decided to seek legal redress.

Felipe Neto is one of the biggest digital influencers in Brazil and has taken public positions on political issues in recent years. Manu Vieira, for her part, is a councilwoman for the city of Florianópolis and is running in the 2022 elections for the Liberal Party, which supports the presidential candidacy of Jair Bolsonaro.
