Two young people, aged 16 and 20, were treated and transported to the hospital following a brawl that occurred in the early morning of this Wednesday in the lower town of Funchal. The alert was given at 2:20 AM, with the Funchal Firefighters dispatching an ambulance to Rua Carvalho Araújo, near the Pestana Carlton Hotel.
Upon arrival, the responders found the two young people with bruises and abrasions, allegedly caused by assaults. The victims were transported to a hospital unit to receive medical care. The authorities have not yet released information about the identity of the attackers or the circumstances that led to the incident.
