The weight loss medication Wegovy is now available in German pharmacies since September 1. This pill version of the medication represents a new option for those seeking weight loss treatment in Germany.

The active substance in Wegovy is semaglutide, which acts in the body by increasing the feeling of fullness. This mechanism helps patients reduce food intake by feeling satisfied with less food.

The medication was approved for use in adults. In terms of price, the cost of treatment varies between 170 and 280 euros, depending on the dosage and the duration of the prescribed treatment.

Hospital de Aveiro premieres orthodontic operation

Hospital de Aveiro performed for the first time a surgically assisted maxillary expansion, through a Stomatology surgical team led by clinicians Pedro Ferraz, Joana Barata Paiva and Rodrigo Azevedo.
