Flamengo accuses Dynamo Moscow of "amateurism" in failed transfer of ex-Sporting player

Record2 September 2026 at 08:44

Flamengo accused Dynamo Moscow of "amateurism" after the transfer of Ecuadorian winger Gonzalo Plata failed. The player, a former Sporting player, was already in Russia to complete the move to the Russian club.

The frustrated transfer meant a financial gain of 12 million euros for Flamengo. The Brazilian club expressed frustration with how the process unfolded on Dynamo Moscow's part.

Gonzalo Plata, who played for Sporting, saw the deal collapse at the last moment. Flamengo harshly criticized the Moscow club's conduct, considering it unprofessional.

The Ecuadorian winger was left in a delicate situation after the agreement fell through. Flamengo demonstrated indignation with what it considered a poorly conducted negotiation by Dynamo Moscow.
