Nanda Costa plays the character Maria, a pregnant ex-cangaceira, in the film "Maria de Maria", directed by Luiza Shelling Tubaldini. The plot, set in 1940, is described by the director as a "female western". The feature film will have its world premiere at the Festival do Rio in October.

After seeing her band decimated, Maria decides to flee to the Midwest, a region that became the heart of the March to the West, promoted by Getúlio Vargas's government. Between ghosts of the past and the challenges of a new life, she gathers strength to survive.

Nanda Costa was also seen in the series "Justiça 2", released by Globoplay in 2024 and recently broadcast by Globo. In the film, she stars opposite João Campos.
