Valpaços experienced on Monday the first night of the Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of Health, with a Folk Festival that brought to Praça da República the Bagpipers of Lebução, the Folk Group of Santa Valha and the Folk and Ethnographic Group of the People's House of Vilarandelo. The performance of traditional songs, dances and sounds provided a celebration of the municipality's cultural identity.

This year, the performances took place in front of the Matrix Church, in an amphitheater-style setup that created greater proximity between artists and audience. Praça da República filled with different generations, in an encounter marked by fellowship and the appreciation of local traditions.

The President of the Municipal Chamber of Valpaços, Jorge Mata Pires, accompanied by the Municipal Executive, was present on the first night of the festivities and highlighted the strong public turnout, considering the festivities a moment that reinforces the municipality's identity and promotes fellowship among the people of Valpaços and visitors.

With the first day already experienced in a festive atmosphere, Valpaços prepares to continue celebrating Our Lady of Health in a program that brings together tradition, culture, devotion and popular fellowship.
