The floods that hit Nepal a week ago, in the region along the border with China, caused a devastating toll of 1,114 dead, according to a provisional report released today by Nepalese emergency management authorities.
The number of missing persons stands at 3,916 people, significantly raising the human impact of this natural disaster that ravaged the Asian country exactly seven days ago.
The toll was updated today by the competent authorities in emergency management, who continue rescue and assistance efforts for the populations affected by this tragedy.
