More than 900 people joined the unemployment lists in Castellón with the end of the tourist season. The number of unemployed people registered at the State Public Employment Service offices (SEPE) in Castellón, at the end of the month of August, increased by 903 people compared to the previous month.
With this increase, the total number of unemployed in the province of Castellón stood at 32,415 people. The growth in the number of unemployment benefit applications is associated with the end of the high season for the tourism sector, which is one of the main sources of employment in the region during the summer months.
