A Dutch sperm donor, identified as Simon, 43 years old, admitted to being the father of at least 199 children in European countries after years of donations and omissions about the number of families who had used his genetic material. The new number was revealed in a letter sent to parents on Saturday (29), as reported by the Dutch news program Nieuwsuur.

According to the survey conducted by the donor, 172 children were born in the Netherlands, 11 in Belgium, 15 in Germany, and one in another European country. One woman is reportedly currently pregnant. The current number far surpasses the 121 children who, until now, were known as the result of his donations.

Simon sent the message in a chat group with over 35 parents. He acknowledged that he was not transparent about the extent of the donations he made over the years. According to Nieuwsuur, the donor used different names to make his donations at different clinics and countries, which made it easy for him to donate repeatedly without adequate oversight.

Three family doctors missing in Porto de Mós with ULSRL guaranteeing solution by 2027

Three family doctors are missing in the municipality of Porto de Mós, a situation that the Local Health Unit of Leiria (ULSRL) guarantees will be resolved by 2027. The local mayor expressed his regret that health professionals consider it easier to move approximately 1,700 patients to the health center rather than for them to travel two or three times a week to the health posts in various parishes, whose services have since closed.
