The Rio Art Week arrives at its first edition officially integrating Rio's calendar, with the proposal to revive Downtown as a large cultural stage. The event runs from the 16th to the 27th, transforming streets, squares, historic buildings and cultural spaces of the city's heart into a large setting for the arts.
The event will offer one thousand hours of programming distributed across 248 public and private spaces, bringing together diverse artistic manifestations such as music, exhibitions, theater, circus and visual arts.
The festive atmosphere begins even before the official opening, on the 15th, with the inauguration of CasaCor, a traditional decoration, design and architecture event that occupies significant spaces in the city.
The proposal seeks a reunion of the downtown area with the essence of the period when Rio de Janeiro was the capital of the country, when the city was buzzing with arts, architecture and fashion.
